The Many Symptoms of Mesothelioma
Mesothelioma is a type of cancer that can happen even in the absense of smoking. The major cause for mesothelioma is exposure to asbestos. When we work in an environment related with asbestos, then we may inhale its small particles. Mesothelioma will not occur all on a sudden when you inhale asbestos. It normally takes 20 to 50 years or more to appear its symptoms. And hence Mesothelioma has become a rare case of cancer. It has many symptoms: breathing can be shortened, feeling pain in chest, etc. Some patients may suffer trouble in swallowing, body fatigue, and even anemia. In some severe cases the symptoms may include low blood sugar level, jaundice, and in extreme cases the person may have tumor.
As the symptoms will expose only after a long time, its early diagnosis is very difficult. The patient will not know that he is suffering from this disease for a long time. One of the important mesothelioma symptoms is a gradual development of fluid between parietal pleura and the visceral pleura. This is called pleural effusion. Sweating, fever, development of lumps under the chest and a weight loss in a greate intensity, are also some of the symptoms of mesothelioma. The symptoms vary depending upon the types of mesothelioma. There are Pericardial mesothelioma, peritonial mesothelioma, pleural mesothelioma and testicular mesothelioma.
The symptoms of mesothelioma in the initial period will be just like the symptoms of viral pneumonia and the right lung is the most victim of mesothelioma. Muscle weakness, loss of sensor feelings and blood can be coughed in such patients. One worst symptom of pericardial mesothelioma is the expanding tumor. It can build up excess fluid and will lead to put pressure on heart and lungs. Although the symptoms are very worst in nature, they will be shown only after a long period after exposure to asbestos.
